One UAE Brief, Properly Coordinated
Planning a villa, apartment, office, retail space, restaurant, hospitality project or specialist interior anywhere in the UAE? Bella brings the design decisions into one clear route—from briefing and space planning to technical coordination, material specification, FF&E, fit-out support and turnkey delivery where the project needs it.
We are based in Abu Dhabi and structure UAE projects around the property, emirate, building rules and delivery model—not around a generic national template. That means the same design language can be adapted for a private villa, a tower apartment, a shell-and-core office or a mall unit without pretending their approval, access and technical constraints are the same.
Start With What You Actually Need
You do not need to buy every service. Start with the problem, property and project stage. We can then combine the disciplines that need to work together and keep unrelated scope outside the appointment.

Explore service →Who We Design For
A UAE interior should respond to the people, operations and property—not a generic style board. These are common starting points.
New homes, renovations, room-by-room upgrades and complete furnishing briefs.
Large floor plates, formal/family zoning, kitchens, majlis, storage and multi-floor consistency.
Fixed structure, tower rules, compact storage, views, access and service coordination.
Repeatable specifications, buyer appeal, unit consistency, sample approvals and value alignment.
Workplace layouts, meeting rooms, acoustics, data, power, brand, staff flow and client experience.
Customer journey, display density, shopfronts, lighting, stock, fitting or consultation areas and mall interfaces.
Guest flow, table planning, kitchen/BOH interfaces, lighting, acoustics, durable finishes and opening deadlines.
Arrival, public/private zones, guest comfort, durability, operational routes and consistent brand experience.
Privacy, hygiene, calm waiting, staff workflow, equipment interfaces and activity-specific requirements.
Structured approvals, remote reviews, procurement tracking and documented site coordination when you are not in the UAE full-time.
Choose Your Location
Use the location closest to your project. These pages are designed to become locally specific—not copies with a city name changed.
Bella's home market. Relevant for private villas, apartments, penthouses, majlis, workplaces, hospitality and fit-out briefs where DMT, building management, developer or specialist approvals may shape delivery.

Open location page →Residential Interior Design UAE
Across the UAE, the residential brief changes dramatically between a multi-floor villa and a high-rise apartment. We plan the home around movement, privacy, hosting, storage, light, cooling, maintenance and the items you actually own.
Whole-home hierarchy, guest/family privacy, double-height rooms, kitchens, majlis, bedroom suites, stairs, service routes and indoor-outdoor living.
Fixed columns, wet-service locations, compact storage, door swings, furniture scale, glazing and building-management restrictions.
Views, larger entertaining zones, vertical volume, premium material junctions, lighting scenes and higher-complexity delivery logistics.
Vertical circulation, garden connection, under-stair storage, open-plan living and continuity between levels.
Conversation geometry, hosting, privacy, guest movement, lighting, acoustics and regionally relevant detailing without relying on decoration alone.
Durability, visual appeal, efficient turnover, storage, guest usability and replacement-ready FF&E specifications.
Plan before furnishing: test layout, lighting, joinery and services before buying pieces that force the room into the wrong arrangement.
Separate what should be retained from what should change; survey existing conditions before assuming walls, services or finishes can simply be moved.
Commercial Interior Design UAE
The finish is only one layer. A UAE commercial interior may also need to coordinate occupancy, customer flow, MEP, IT/data, acoustics, fire/life-safety interfaces, signage, durable materials, landlord rules and an opening date that cannot drift casually.
Workstations, meeting rooms, focus spaces, acoustics, pantry, reception, power/data, HVAC and brand experience.
Shopfront, customer path, display, lighting, stock, POS, fitting/consultation and landlord or mall requirements.
Guest journey, table spacing, BOH/FOH routes, kitchen interfaces, ventilation, acoustics, lighting and robust finishes.
Arrival sequence, guest comfort, public/private routes, FF&E durability, room consistency and high-use maintenance.
Patient experience, privacy, hygiene, storage, staff workflow and specialist technical requirements.
Treatment flow, wet/dry zones, privacy, ventilation, lighting, storage and a controlled sensory environment.
UAE Interior Perspectives
A villa living room, workplace, restaurant, boutique, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom should not be solved with the same visual formula. These references make the differences easier to see before you choose the service route that fits your project.
Large glazing, vertical scale and statement lighting need proportion, glare control, furniture anchoring and ceiling coordination to work together.
Glass, timber, planting and focused lighting can create openness without losing privacy, acoustic control or a professional working rhythm.
Restaurants depend on table spacing, guest flow and service routes, but lighting and material reflectance determine how the room feels once evening service begins.
A retail interior has to make products easy to see, compare and reach while preserving circulation, staff visibility and a strong first impression.
Island clearance, appliance positions, storage, task lighting, power and surface durability matter as much as the cabinet colour or stone choice.
A premium finish still depends on drainage, waterproofing, fixture clearances, task lighting, ventilation and maintenance access being resolved correctly.
Warm timber, indirect light and controlled contrast can make a bedroom feel quieter while storage, blackout, AC airflow and bedside power remain practical.
Atriums, stairs, corridors and shared circulation influence wayfinding, daylight, acoustic spill and how a commercial interior feels before anyone reaches a desk or meeting room.

Designed for UAE Reality
We use the visual direction to start the conversation, then test it against the property: solar exposure, HVAC and ceiling zones, material maintenance, existing services, building access, approvals, procurement lead times and the way people actually use the space. That is what turns an attractive idea into a usable UAE interior.
Why UAE Projects Cannot Be Copy-Pasted
Two spaces with the same area can need completely different drawings, budgets and programmes because their starting conditions and approval environments are different.
Large room scales, external works, formal/family zoning, service kitchens and multi-floor MEP coordination can dominate the brief.
Columns, risers, chilled-water/HVAC interfaces, service lifts, delivery windows, debris routes and working-hour rules can constrain what is practical.
Shopfront standards, signage, fire/life-safety interfaces, material restrictions, hoarding, loading and opening dates can become critical-path items.
A blank space may still require substantial MEP distribution, ceilings, partitions, fire-system coordination, data, pantry/plumbing and commissioning before furniture arrives.
Master-developer or building NOCs can sit alongside municipality or authority requirements. The current fit-out manual should be reviewed before the design depends on a detail that is not permitted.
The responsible authority may differ from mainland projects. The submission route, required consultants, fees and completion process must be confirmed for the actual zone.
Phasing, noise, dust, temporary access, protection and service shutdowns may affect the construction method more than the concept itself.
One Process, Adjusted to the Property
The sequence is deliberately decision-led. We want the layout, cost, technical information and procurement choices to become clearer before the project reaches the expensive point of fabrication and site rework.
Define the users, property, location, scope, target budget, target date and what is already decided.
Output: project brief + scope directionReview dimensions, structure, services, access, retained items and visible constraints; identify information that still needs specialist verification.
Output: survey / constraint registerTest furniture, circulation, zoning, storage, privacy and operational adjacencies at scale before style decisions drive the plan.
Output: preferred layoutDevelop the visual direction, material relationships, key elevations and selected 3D views so the client can review the spatial idea before detailed procurement.
Output: approved conceptResolve ceilings, lighting, power/data, joinery, wet areas, MEP interfaces, finish junctions and specialist inputs to the level required by the appointment.
Output: coordinated technical packageConnect drawings to the budget, BOQ/allowances and the building, developer, free-zone or authority route that applies to the actual property.
Output: aligned scope + approvals planApprove samples, track long-lead items, coordinate suppliers and manage fit-out / installation under the agreed delivery model.
Output: installed interiorInspect, rectify, clean and document the agreed handover information so the finished space is ready for use rather than merely photographed.
Output: completed handoverApprovals & Compliance
The required route depends on emirate, jurisdiction, property type, building or developer, tenancy/ownership, and what the design changes. We confirm the current project-specific route before representing an approval as mandatory or unnecessary.
DMT introduced a simplified permit route in 2025 for specified minor works on residential properties, including certain non-structural interior/exterior modifications and interior finishes. Structural, major service or life-safety changes can require a different route, and building/developer requirements may still apply.
Dubai Development Authority publishes a dedicated fit-out permit service for offices, retail and other building areas in its jurisdiction. Its current requirements include contractor appointment, Ejari, building-owner NOC, relevant authority NOCs and approved/proposed drawings; DCD completion documentation can be required before fit-out completion.
Private building-management or master-developer rules may control service-lift use, access, noisy work, debris disposal, insurance, deposits, method statements, protection and submission formats even when the design itself is technically straightforward.
Free zones and activity-specific spaces can introduce their own consultant, authority, fire, health, food-service, signage or accessibility requirements. The correct route is verified against the location and use—not copied from another emirate.
Interior Design Cost UAE
Published UAE cost guides vary widely because the words 'interior design' can mean anything from layouts and finishes to a fully fitted, furnished and technically upgraded space. We use market ranges only for feasibility; the project is priced after the scope, drawings, site condition and exclusions are clear.
For a firm proposal, send the location, approximate area, drawings or floor plan, current condition, desired finish level, required services and target completion date. Two quotations are only comparable when they price the same scope.
Can be structured as a lump sum, area-based fee or other agreed model depending on deliverables. A room styling brief is not priced like a full technical villa package.
A current 2026 Abu Dhabi market guide describes this as paint, flooring and light joinery while retaining the existing layout and services.
Published 2026 planning band for fuller finish replacement, fitted joinery, some layout change, lighting and switching.
Published planning band where stone, veneered joinery, feature ceilings, altered layouts and upgraded electrical/cooling raise complexity.
Published Abu Dhabi planning reference for made-to-order work, imported stone, curved/inlaid details and long-lead items. It is not a Bella quotation.
The UAE Federal Tax Authority states the standard VAT rate is 5%. Confirm whether every quotation you compare is shown inclusive or exclusive of VAT.
UAE-Specific Design Factors
The most successful schemes treat the local environment and building systems as design inputs rather than problems to solve after the finishes are selected.
Large glazed façades can create glare and heat-load issues. Furniture, window treatment, UV exposure and lighting scenes should be considered together.
Ceilings, partitions and furniture should not be designed independently of supply/return air, thermostats, maintenance access and room-by-room cooling.
Bathrooms, kitchens, spas and coastal projects need material, waterproofing, ventilation and detailing appropriate to moisture exposure.
Curtains, upholstery, timber, artwork and finishes near strong glazing should be specified with light exposure and replacement practicality in mind.
High-use homes and commercial spaces benefit from finishes selected for cleaning, abrasion, stain resistance and repairability—not only first-day appearance.
Layered LED schemes can reduce unnecessary load while giving better control over ambient, task and accent light.
Villas, terraces and hospitality spaces need thresholds, flooring, shading and furniture strategies that acknowledge dust, heat and maintenance.
Stone, glass and open plans can create hard reflections. Rugs, upholstery, acoustic panels, ceilings and zoning can be used to control reverberation.
Styles, Materials & Colour
We can work across different visual directions. The useful question is which proportions, materials, colours and details support your property and the way you want to live or operate.
Clean spatial hierarchy, current materials and restrained detailing without locking the interior to one short-lived trend.
Explore style →Refined stone, timber, metal, layered lighting and custom pieces with controlled contrast rather than excessive ornament.
Explore style →Regional proportions, hospitality, screens, arches or craft references interpreted in a contemporary way rather than copied literally.
Explore style →Fewer visible objects, disciplined storage, careful junctions and material continuity; the detail quality has to carry the room.
Explore style →Warm timber, quiet neutrals, texture, simple forms and uncluttered layouts that can work particularly well in compact homes.
Explore style →Controlled symmetry, mouldings, proportion and refined material contrast without allowing decorative layers to overwhelm function.
Explore style →Natural textures, planting, daylight, muted colour and tactile materials used as part of the architecture rather than surface decoration.
Explore style →Layered lighting, strong headboard/joinery moments, tactile fabrics and a polished arrival sequence adapted for residential practicality.
Explore style →Useful for villas and calm residential spaces where stone, timber and warm neutrals need depth without becoming yellow.
A cooler option for bright apartments and coastal-facing spaces where glare needs to be balanced with warmth.
A grounded palette that can support timber, bronze, stone and regional pattern without turning the room into a literal theme.
Durable, low-maintenance and available in large formats; useful where consistent appearance and practical cleaning matter.
Travertine, limestone and marble bring depth and variation but need correct selection, sealing, substrate and maintenance expectations.
Quartz and sintered surfaces can offer controlled pattern, stain resistance and predictable fabrication for kitchens and vanities.
Adds warmth to joinery and wall panelling; substrate, veneer matching, edge details and UV exposure matter.
Useful in correctly detailed joinery near kitchens, utility areas and bathrooms; 'MR' is not a substitute for waterproof construction.
Good for slim screens, shelving, doors and accents; finish durability, fingerprints, safety and cleaning should be planned.
Appropriate for high-use family or hospitality seating where stain resistance, colour fastness and replaceability are important.
Can support indoor-air-quality goals when the product and substrate preparation are chosen correctly.
Felt, perforated panels, fabric systems, rugs and soft furnishings can reduce hard-surface reverberation when designed as a system.
HEX values are concept references for screens and renders. Final paint, laminate, fabric, metal or stone must be approved through the manufacturer code and physical sample under the project's actual lighting.
Constraints We Design Around
Absorb them into storage, wall composition or zoning instead of pretending they can be moved.
Check stacks, drainage, floor build-up and waterproofing before relocating kitchens or bathrooms.
Coordinate ductwork, lighting, sprinklers and access panels before designing deep decorative ceilings.
Use zoning, reflectance, layered artificial lighting and material contrast instead of simply painting everything white.
Design vertical, built-in and transition-zone storage around the actual inventory and access needed.
Use furniture scale, grouped zones, rugs, lighting and architectural anchors so large rooms do not become empty circulation fields.
Prioritise circulation, built-ins, sliding/pocket solutions where feasible and furniture scaled to the real footprint.
Service lift size, loading access, floor protection, delivery booking and debris removal can affect what can physically arrive on site.
Retained ducts, pipes, DBs, sprinklers and drainage can set non-negotiable boundaries for new layouts.
Programme demolition, drilling and heavy works around the building's permitted hours rather than assuming a full working day.
Identify imported stone, lighting, sanitaryware, appliances and furniture early enough to avoid an empty site waiting for one item.
Phase the works, protection, temporary access and shutdowns so the property can keep functioning where required.
Why Bella for a UAE Project
Search results are full of 'top' and 'best interior design companies in UAE' claims. A more useful test is whether the team can explain your scope, show relevant evidence and coordinate the decisions your project actually needs.
A UAE-based starting point for client meetings, local coordination and projects that need regular site involvement.
The brief can move from private homes to workplaces, retail, hospitality and specialist spaces without treating them as the same design problem.
Layout, lighting, joinery, finishes and furniture are considered alongside MEP, access, approvals and buildability interfaces.
Design-only, contractor-led, design & fit-out, project-management and turnkey routes are kept distinct so you know what you are appointing.
Samples, specifications, lead times, substitutions and installation constraints are part of the decision rather than an afterthought.
Where multiple services are required, they are coordinated around the same project objectives instead of behaving like unrelated packages.
Temporary reference imagery is labelled as reference imagery. Completed Bella projects should be presented as proof only when the project record and usage rights are verified.
Project Proof
This UAE page uses temporary reference imagery while the portfolio library is being completed. We do not present those third-party images as Bella projects. During enquiry, ask for project evidence that matches the property type, scope and delivery stage you are considering.
For a villa, apartment or penthouse, ask to see layout development, material decisions, joinery details and final installed work—not only a wide-angle reveal.
For offices, retail or hospitality, look for planning logic, technical coordination, customer/staff flow, MEP integration and final quality.
If you need fit-out or turnkey delivery, ask to see site-stage documentation, samples, shop drawings, snagging and handover—not only concept renders.
If your building, developer, mall or authority route is important, ask what comparable environments the team has coordinated and what was learned from them.
Client Feedback
These quotes are carried from Bella's current site feedback records. They are shown as client feedback, not as independently verified platform ratings.
“From the initial consultation to the final finishing touches, the team was professional, attentive, and easy to work with. They took the time to understand my ideas and transformed them into a beautiful, functional space.”
Kulwinder Singh
“Complete turnkey solutions for all kinds of interior fit-out. Their work is of highest quality with a sharp eye for details. They provide complete peace of mind to their clients.”
Muneer Samnani
“From start to finish, Bella delivered an outstanding experience. The team was highly responsive, understood our vision for the space and executed the project on time and within budget.”

Working Beyond Abu Dhabi
For projects outside Abu Dhabi, the appointment is structured around how much site presence and local coordination the scope actually needs.
Agree which stages require Bella on site—survey, key inspections, material/mock-up review, snagging or full project-management involvement.
Layouts, renders, schedules, material submittals and decision logs can be reviewed remotely between site milestones.
Clarify whether Bella is designing, procuring, appointing, supervising or simply coordinating the parties already selected by the client.
Site visits, accommodation, travel time, passes and building access should be explicit commercial assumptions rather than hidden costs.
Use one approved drawing/specification trail so the client, contractor, supplier and designer are not working from different versions.
Choosing an Interior Design Company in the UAE
If you are shortlisting interior design companies in UAE, use the same questions for every firm. That makes 'best' or 'top' claims far less important.
Has the team worked on your property type, scale, sector or starting condition?
Does the proposal say exactly what is included, excluded and client-supplied?
Are layouts, 3D views, technical drawings, schedules and specifications defined?
Who coordinates MEP, joinery, ceilings, lighting, wet areas and specialist consultants?
Is the cost tied to drawings/BOQ/specification, with allowances and provisional sums visible?
Who builds the work, and where does design responsibility end?
Who checks the authority, developer, landlord or free-zone route and who makes the submission?
Are brand/model/finish/sample or approved-equivalent rules documented?
Does the schedule show approvals, design freeze, long-lead procurement, fabrication and snagging?
What does completion include—snag closure, warranties, as-builts, O&M information or only a visual handover?
Designer, Studio, Contractor or Turnkey?
Best when the main need is spatial planning, concept, materials, lighting, joinery intent, FF&E and design documentation.
Start with a consultation →Can combine multiple design disciplines and project coordination under one studio appointment. The exact technical and site scope still needs to be written down.
Explore residential design →Useful when approved design has to be translated into buildable details, procurement, trades, site execution, quality control and handover.
Explore Design Contractor →Connects design development and construction under one integrated delivery route so cost, buildability and programme can influence the design earlier.
Explore Design & Build →For clients who want a broader end-to-end route that can extend through procurement, fit-out, furniture, styling and move-in/opening readiness.
Explore Turnkey →Interior Design UAE — Questions Clients Ask Before They Start
The useful answers depend on scope, so these are written to help you make the next decision rather than give one-size-fits-all promises.
It can range from design-only work—briefing, layouts, concepts, materials, lighting, joinery details and FF&E—to coordinated technical drawings, procurement, project management, fit-out and turnkey delivery. The company should state exactly which of those responsibilities are inside your appointment.
Bella is Abu Dhabi-based and this UAE landing page is structured for projects across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain and Al Ain. The practical service model, site presence and approval route are agreed project by project.
There is no reliable national rate because design-only, renovation, shell-and-core fit-out and fully furnished turnkey work are different scopes. As one current 2026 Abu Dhabi planning reference, fit-out bands run from roughly AED 400–800/m² for refresh work to AED 800–1,800/m² standard, AED 1,800–3,500/m² high-spec and AED 3,500+/m² extensively bespoke work. Treat those as feasibility bands, not a Bella quotation.
Published 2026 Dubai guides vary sharply depending on whether the figure covers design only, construction only, MEP, furniture, approvals or a full turnkey package. The safest way to compare is to issue the same floor plan, scope, finish level and exclusions to each firm rather than choosing on an isolated AED/sq-ft headline.
A normal budget starts with the property condition and desired scope. A cosmetic apartment refresh, a full villa renovation and a shell-and-core office should not share one benchmark. Give the designer the area, current condition, rooms/sector, finish level, required services and target date so the feasibility budget can be built around the actual brief.
Treat 'best' as a decision process rather than a ranking. Check relevant project evidence, the exact deliverables, technical capability, scope exclusions, pricing basis, approval responsibility, material specifications, programme and handover obligations. The right firm is the one whose capability and delivery model match your brief.
Yes. Villa work can involve whole-home zoning, majlis, kitchens, service routes, multi-floor joinery and indoor-outdoor living; apartment work usually places more emphasis on fixed structure, wet-service locations, tower access, compact storage and building-management rules.
Yes. Bella's service structure covers offices, retail, showrooms, restaurants, cafés, hospitality, healthcare, wellness and other specialist environments. Commercial briefs place more emphasis on operations, customer/staff flow, durability, MEP, IT/data, acoustics, approvals and opening dates.
Yes, where the appointment is agreed as Design & Fit-Out or another integrated delivery model. The proposal should state who is responsible for design, technical coordination, MEP, procurement, fit-out trades, authority interfaces, testing, snagging and handover.
Turnkey can combine design, technical coordination, procurement, fit-out, joinery, FF&E, installation, snagging and readiness for use. It does not mean every possible item is automatically included; the contract should still identify exclusions, client-supplied items, third-party fees and specialist systems.
Sometimes, but the route is project-specific. It depends on the emirate, jurisdiction, building, developer, use and whether you change structure, layout, MEP or fire/life-safety systems. Some minor residential works may use simplified processes; commercial, free-zone or major modification projects can have different requirements.
The programme depends on design depth, approval route, property condition, custom joinery, imported materials, specialist systems, access restrictions and whether the property is occupied. We build the schedule from those dependencies instead of publishing one duration for every UAE project.
Yes. The scope can be design-only or design plus project coordination while your contractor executes the works. The key is agreeing drawing status, RFIs, sample approvals, substitutions, site inspections, variation responsibility and who signs off technical changes.
Yes, but the drawings should be checked against current site conditions before critical fabrication or construction. Existing plans are useful starting information; they are not automatically a measured survey.
Yes. 3D visualization can help you review proportion, materials, lighting and major visual decisions before site work. It complements technical drawings; it does not replace them.
3D visualization and 3D printing are different services. Bella's current service structure includes 3D interior design and visualization. Physical 3D printing or fabrication would be considered only where a project-specific specialist requirement calls for it; it is not presented as a standard inclusion.
FF&E can be included as a dedicated service or within a wider turnkey scope. The schedule should identify item, size, finish, supplier, lead time, approved alternative, delivery, installation and whether the client or Bella purchases it.
A commonly taught framework is space, line, form, light, colour, texture and pattern. In a real UAE project those become practical decisions about layout, architectural geometry, lighting, materials, reflectance, joinery, furniture and how the whole scheme performs in the actual property.
It is a composition guideline, not a technical standard. One interpretation is to let roughly 70% of the room establish the dominant design language and use around 30% for contrast or a secondary influence. It should not override circulation, function, material performance or the client's preferences.
It is a styling mnemonic that uses odd-number groupings—often three, five or seven objects—to create a less rigid visual rhythm. It is useful for accessories and shelving, but it is not a space-planning or construction rule.
There is no universal best style. Contemporary, modern luxury, Modern Arabic, minimal, Japandi, neoclassical and organic directions can all work. The stronger choice is the one that fits the architecture, light, household routines, maintenance expectations and budget.
Send the emirate/location, property type, approximate area, floor plan or drawings, current condition, project stage, required services, target budget range, finish expectations and desired completion date. Photos and building/developer fit-out guidelines are especially useful for existing or managed properties.
Start With a Useful Brief
You do not need a finished brief. Send the emirate or community, property type, approximate area, current condition and target date. If you already have drawings, renders, a BOQ, landlord rules or a contractor quotation, mention that in the message.
We will use those details to identify the right starting service—design consultation, space planning, complete interior design, design & fit-out, project management or turnkey delivery.
